Since Graduation...

Life has been going on as usual but with a few exciting things mixed in. My birthday weekend (2 weeks after graduation) was the balloon festival. We had beautiful weather all weekend except for Sunday night we had thunder and lightening. It poured for a short time before clearing again. But we sure didn't fly! Adam was hoping to fly all weekend and Sunday morning his wish was granted. He flew for about half the flight and they caught the right winds and flew back to the field where Adam hopped out and I jumped in and flew for the second part of the flight. Everyone thought it was great and the flight was beautiful. We flew toward the golf course and were going to land on the edge. As we started our decent, one of the workers from the golf course came zooming out under us on a golf cart and grabbed the drop-line we had thrown a moment earlier and the line ripped through his hands but he kept pulling. Crazy guy!

The next Friday we headed out here for campmeeting. We had a good trip and made it to campus, after a lunch stop and a trip to BJ's, around 2:30 or so. We've had beautiful weather pretty much all week. It was a bit chilly on Friday and Sabbath but not too bad, after that it's warmed up quite a bit! Sabbath was also a bit overcast. I wore my new dress (which has straps for sleeves) to church (the big tent) and sat outside, I was outside in the "sun" all day pretty much. With the cool temperature and overcast skies I didn't think that I would get burnt but boy did I! I haven't been burnt that bad since I can't remember when. It turned into a beautiful tan but now I look like a freak because my chest and back are peeling horribly!

Adri and Michael took Charlee and I for frostys late Saturday night as a belated birthday thing. It was fun and it's kind of a tradition now I suppose... we did the same thing last year only without Charlee.

As for the rest of the week, I've helped out with checking transcripts for Andrew, playing with Sam, Kim, Sarah, and Hannah, playing games, and chilling. One evening a bunch of us came over to Andrew and Kim's for a massive bonfire. We had a lot of fun relaxing and chatting out in the field. There were TONS of fireflies out there! I caught a bunch of them a few different times. I ended up smooshing one of them on my hand and the glowing part stayed until it got knocked off. That was also the day I milked my first goat! I'm incredibly SLOW when it comes to that!

The twins are so cute! I was heading out somewhere and Hannah hollered "Bye Toria" so I said "Bye Hannah" "Bye Toria" "Bye Hannah" and it went on like that until I finally stopped hollering back to her. Sarah will get going like that too. The both love to be held up so they can touch the roof and the giggle every time and want more. Today Hannah came over and sat on my lap after lunch and she had a pair of sunglasses she would wear for a minute then push them up on her head and then she tried holding them with her chin. I asked her where they went and asked if they went on her belly and she put them on so her tummy was wearing them.

Tonight starts my week at 4 Tin Fish Farm, otherwise known as Andrew and Kim's. I'll be here taking care of the cats, dog, horses, chickens, and goats. I milked Alice the from start to finish tonight (those poor goats are going to hate me and get REALLY fat as slow as I milk!) They walked me through the rest of the chores and in the morning I'll be doing them by myself while Andrew and Kim finish packing, that way they will be here for support in case I need anything.

I should be heading to bed. I have to get up and do chores in the morning. Stay tuned for farm adventures this week!
