Friendship on Fire?
I watched The Perfect Man last night (cute movie by the way). There is a line in the movie that goes like this "I once heard that love is friendship on fire..." This made me think, is this really true? Of course people say that some of the best relationships start out by being friends first and I'm sure as the relationship buds it might feel like "friendship on fire" but is that where it ends? Is that all there is to love? I don't think so. I think there is a lot more to love then just being "friends on fire". I think friendship is an important aspect of love but I think there is more to love. I don't think I have the answers to what all the "others" are. But this is something I hope to discover someday.

I think if love isn't based upon friendship than you have nothing. Beautiy eventualy fades and when your old and grey... id think you'd wish that your spouse can still appreciate a good conversation. But i think your also right that its not the only thing. Its like a triangle if you do not have God at the top than you and your spouse dont have a complete triangle and the relationship isn't complete.
