My 3rd Junior/Senior Day

Usually someone would go on two Junior/Senior days... their first one junior year and second and last one their senior year. Of course there are exceptions: like Michael who managed to go three or four years for various reasons. A now I am sorta one of those exceptions. Yesterday and Wednesday I became one of the privileged few to go on more then two of these outings.

Wednesday after supper we loaded the bus and went to Reese's for a round of putt putt and some ice cream (they have a pretty good toffee soft serve). Then we came back to the house with everybody and gave tours of the barn and took kids out to see the chickens. Those kids provide some good laughs! There were a few "city boys" with us. They were fine with the goats... one of them sat down on a bail of hay and held one of the baby goats for quite a while, but when he went out to see the chickens it was a totally different story! He was a bit scared and ran around the coop trying to get away from them. He did pet one of them that Andrew was holding and then a bit later Andrew collected the eggs and tried to show him that one of them was still warm. He went to touch it and somebody yelled to scare him and he screamed and smacked the egg out of Andrew's hand and it smashed on the ground. When we went to leave the pasture (the chicken coop is in the horse pasture) Charlie (one of the horses) decided he wanted some attention and everybody was petting him. Andrew did something and I think he tried to do the same thing and Charlie tried to nip at him! He started yelling that the horse was racist and started walking away... Charlie followed him.

Anyways, after all the touring we walked out to the field and had a huge bonfire. I was walking out with Kim and we saw something in with the cows. We decided it was somebody and I figured it was Herbie since he had a bright orange hat on. We got closer and asked what he was doing. He said he had lost his cell phone. We offered for him to call himself using our phone but he said his was dead. So Kim gave him her flashlight and he continued to look. Before we left him he asked if we wanted to hear a secret... he said "I stuck my hand in a cow pie! I thought it might be my phone and stuck my hand right in it!" We had a good laugh with him about his unfortunate and smelly mistake and continued on our way.

After the bonfire and s'mores we reloaded the bus and went back to the academy for a movie and chips & salsa. Andrew and I got home a few minutes before 2:00am.

Thursday we went in in time for brunch at 10:30 and shortly after we all loaded the bus one more time. This time to a mall in Syracuse. We had about an hour once we got there to do some shopping (I got a cute shirt that was on sale) and then we met up at 2:00pm for lazer tag. We played three games and my team won all 3. It was SO much fun! I had never gone before but definitely want to go again! After tag we all headed to the food court for some food and drink then had a short time to make any last minute purchases and load the bus one more time. We then headed to a park on Ontario Lake for a half hour. We got to play on the playground, sit by the water, and enjoy the company around us before heading back to the school. I think everybody really enjoyed themselves.

So this weekend is graduation and with it the beginning of June. That means (drum roll) I'll only have a little over 2 months until I start working at the academy!!!
