Sorta Away

This weekend I'm taking care of the farm again. Andrew thought it would do me good to be away from campus for the weekend after the week I had. I was supposed to do lunch today but was told yesterday that I didn't need to. I was tempted not to go in for church but I figured I should since I haven't been to church since before school started and Adrianna was there and wanted to see me. So after doing chores this morning I took a shower and got ready and was actually there early even after stopping by my house for a couple safety pins and flip flops :)

I decided to stay for lunch then stuck around while Adri cut Jaymee's hair (it looks SO good!!!) and then went to supper before heading back here. I think I might wish later this week that I had come back a bit earlier then I did. Tim kept saying he thought that I was staying at the Fish's. I told him that I was and he said that he kept seeing me so much this weekend he thought I could be on duty :P I had a half hour before chores so I took care of Sam, got the mail, and took care of the chickens before milking goats.

I was so excited this morning when I went out to do chores because the mama hen was finally off of the chicks and I got to see them :D They are SO cute!!! There's two yellow ones and a little black one. I told them this afternoon that the black one looks like a few black cotton balls piled on top of each other wobbling around. I didn't see them tonight so hopefully I'll be able to again in the morning.

I got bit twice on my shoulder by a fly last night. The bites are big and red and have a little black mark in the middle. They sorta itch but I don't want to keep picking at them because I don't want them to get any bigger then they already are.

I made a batch of butterscotch cookies tonight... on my new pampered chef stone :D The first ones I put in were REALLY runny and got HUGE!!! I added some more oatmeal and made them a bit smaller. They are quite chewy so I probably should have left them in a little longer but oh well. They taste yummy... they're just crumbly and weird looking.

Tomorrow, I'm going to do chores, shower, pop in another movie (I'm watching Freedom Writers right now), make some more cookies, and clean up the mess I've made. Hopefully I'll get quite a bit of relaxing in there too. :)
