Freshmen Retreat

We had our freshmen retreat today at Camp Geneva. It took us a little over two hours to get there; but pretty much everybody on our bus slept the entire way. We were supposed to leave at 8:30 however we finally ended up pulling out a little after 9 and got there a few minutes after 11. We got there and did a song service and then the deans each did a little bio about themselves and a quick worship thought to go with it.

After that we had lunch (stuff that was not from
the cafe!) and then a couple hours of freetime of which many of us spent on the beach until it began to sprinkle. Before we even got the whole way down to the beach we could see all kinds of sail boats all over the place. When it began to rain Jeung Min (my new Korean friend) and I went back to the building. There were already some girls in there and they were just having fun singing with some songs on the mp3 player or something they had going, just praising God and having fun doing it. Then slowly more and more girls filed in and the singing became more and more of not so much fooling around and we started another song service before we broke up into our different seminars. The seminars were pretty good. The titles of them were (and we only went to 3): How to Lose a Guy in 10 Ways, Sexy Girls; How Hot is Too Hot?, Not Just Another AU Woman, and a Healthier You (or something to that effect. Jeung Min and I went to the first 3 listed). I liked How to Lose a Guy in 10 Ways even though I don't have a guy. The couple that did it were pretty funny. The guy is one of the pastors at the church here (PMC).
Lets see how many of the ways I can remember:
Be overbaring and always have to know where he is... Call him every 10 minutes and ask what he's doing

Don't have a life other then him
Don't listen to what God is telling you about the relationship
Don't listen to your friends' concerns
Have sex before marriage (don't worry they were NOT telling us to do this!)
Make him the #1 priority above God

And I can't remember the others right now... They recomended some good books on relationships too.

After those we had supper and a little vespers type of a service after we ate. Vespers was outside and we had a fire. It got pretty cold! Jeung Min and I were huddled together trying to stay as warm as we could but it didn't work to well.

There's an after party going on now but I'm too tired to go! But I can here the cheers from
here.

So that was my day today. Pretty exciting huh?

Well, I should be going to bed! I have a 4 hour lab tomorrow and have to do laundry and homework and study for my first test of my college career (AAHHHH!)

Coming tomorrow: Photograms

This is my RA and please do not ask me what she was doing because I don't know
