But one thing did happen that made me feel better... I KNOW MORE THEN SOMEBODY ELSE THAT'S IN BAND! But it's kinda weird too (although not as odd as being the ONLY one playing tenor sax) but in a big band (or even USA's) I'm used to being able to pickup what other instruments are playing and be able to get back on or when there are other tenors I'll follow their lead. But 1st chair hasn't shown up and I guess I'm second but I don't really know... maybe I'm third, but I had to show the guy next to me a fingering, it doesn't mean he knows and just couldn't think of it but it was kinda cool that I got to help somebody instead of being the one getting the help.
Our family group leader, Kristin, and her mom wants to have everybody over some weekend for lunch or supper. We aren't sure when it will be yet but I think it will be fun.
Then I've been emailing back and forth with our new pastor to be. Him and his wife have invited me over to their place some Sabbath for lunch that will fit my schedual. And they also invited me to a Bible Study that they are starting at their house this Friday night.
And today after Wind Symphony practice a friend came over and invited me to their house for Sabbath lunch this week. However I can't do it this week because the dorm is having a retreat at the beach for all the freshmen girls. Some other time I guess.
Tomorrow night is the first Fusion of the year. Fusion is when all the vespers all over campus come together and do one giant collage of different vespers all rolled into one I think. They say there is great music and EVERYBODY goes. A couple girls were saying that you should go a half hour early just to get a seat. It's in the Howard Performing Arts Center. They are also having a Ministries Fair tomorrow night before and after vespers. I think we will be able to sign up for all kinds of different ministry/outreach/inreach type stuff and get involved with helping people.
I ate at the Gazebo for the first time tonight. The subs there are really good! I think I'll be having supper there every night I have Wind Symphony. Partly because I only have 15 minutes from the time that we get out til the cafe closes.
Well, I could probably write more but I'm very tired! It has been a long week. Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday (and I only have 2 classes, unfortunatly they are both in the morning).
Good Night
