What a week it has been! There's been SO much to do this week. I had a paper due Monday, test on Tuesday as well as a draft for one of my papers, another test Wednesday, and Thursday I had a portfolio due. Therefore, I'm screaming.... THANK YOU JESUS FOR THE WEEKEND!!! AND for friends who take me to do fun stuff!!!!!
God has been SO good to me this week! I have been having a lot of problems with my cell phone since I came back from Christmas... the screen has been blacking out more and more and now the battery isn't lasting very long and not lasting the night. I usually set my phone for my morning alarm clock. But since the battery doesn't last I'll set the phone AND my real alarm clock. But here's the problem.... I hadn't been hearing my phone turn off in the night and I hadn't been hearing my real alarm clock either. The beginning of the week I didn't hear my alarm clock that I remember... somehow I still woke up on time... and when I got up my alarm clock was in the bed next to me. I'm not real sure how that happened. Wednesday night I was up until 4:00am trying to finish my portfolio and the final draft for my English paper. I quit working on my portfolio around 3 or 3:30 because I was having so much back pain. So I took my laptop and put it on my lap and put the papers I needed next to me and layed on my bed typing the corrections. I went to bed at 4 (when I was falling asleep reading my English assignment which we usually have a quiz over) and was planning on getting up around 7 or 7:30 to work on my portfolio some more before class at 9. Yet again I didn't hear my alarm clock :( but God woke me up for the SECOND time! I woke up about 10-20 minutes later then I normally would. So I made it to class on time! That was blessing number one for Thursday. Blessing number two came in English class. The quiz that we normally have over our reading assignment was a bit different then normal... she has us write what we've learned from the book so far and share it with the class! Blessing number three came in my second class of the day. The portfolios are technically supposed to be bound and all done at the beginning of class (mine definatly was NOT and I was still missing a page or two). He gave us grace! Since pretty much EVERYBODY was working on their portfolios he said that we could get it done during class and turn them in before we left! YAY! Then... here's another really cool thing! Basic Design is a 2 hour and 45 minute class... The paper that we were supposed to use for our next assignment isn't in yet so... he made up an assignment for us and we had to leave in order to do it. So since I had only slept about 4 hours that night I got the privilege of coming back to my room and sleeping for a while before Wind Symphony!
So I'm so excited that it's a long weekend and I get to relax some! Yesterday Cara took me to the mall and Target with her after I went out to lunch with Ashley and Jeong Min. It was SO much fun! I got a really cute shirt from the mall and a ton of stuff I needed from Target. (It was my first time ever shopping in a Target) I got back right in time to change and go to vespers.... it was about 5 or 6 hours of shopping! Tonight there is an orchastra concert I might be going to... it's supposed to be good, all the music is from movies. Then after that I might be going to the movies and out to eat. Then tomorrow we might be going to another movie or to Chicago or do something else fun and I might be helping a friend with his photo lab. If I don't do that tomorrow I guess we'll have to do it on Monday. I'd love to go to the lake and try out my new Holga camera! But we'll have to see what happens.
Well, that's life thus far I guess... I'll try to update on just what ends up happening this weekend! Happy Sabbath and have a great weekend and for those of you have off Monday... long weekend :D
