Tornado Warning in Effect

This afternoon I got a phone call. This is nothing unusual as Monica usually calls me sometime in the afternoon or evening, often times more then once. And today was one of the more then once days. The second time she called she was talking fast. She said she was heading to the cafe for some supper and said something about a tornado warning. After I got off the phone I checked the weather online... sure enough there was a tornado watch in effect. Then the siren went off. "hmm..." I thought to myself "I wonder if I should be heading somewhere?"
I try to call Cara but there is no answer so I call her other phone (forgetting of course she wouldn't be in her room because she was working tonight).
I waited in my room, chatting with people online, working on some SPLASH stuff, and whatever else.
The siren then goes off again... longer this time. "hmm..." I think again, "that can't be good. I wonder what's going on." I check the weather again and it says that there is a tornado warning in effect and to seek shelter immediately.
I go to the hallway (where I normally get better cell service). As I begin to search for service an announcement is made, "Ladies we are under a tornado warning. Please make your way to the East side basement. Grab a book and get comfy."
I go down to the basement with my God and Human Life book, notebook, pen, and SPLASH notebook in hand. When I get down there, there's no one there. I turn the corner and see Cara. We finally ended up going into the very HOT east wing of the basement.
More and more girls begin coming. Soon the hallway is filled with girls on laptops, reading books, or visiting with friends.
I decide it is far to loud to get any reading done and I ran back to my room and retrieved my laptop. And back downstairs I went.
I got to go through some more of my Europe pictures (I still haven't really gotten to look at all of them yet)
Soon you hear girls asking how much longer were we going to be down there and complaints of how hot it was.
Finally the ban was lifted and our freedom was restored. Everything was fine. We just had a lot of rain, dark clouds, and some wind.
Praise the Lord for keeping us safe and the tornado away!
