What more can you ask for in a week?
Sunday's big events were open house (which I wasn't in the dorm for) and laying/sitting out in the sun for four or five hours and getting a sunburn.
Monday nothing to special happened other then no Wind Symphony so I had extra time to waste.
Tuesday I don't think anything happened... just a normal day.
Wednesday the weather turned rainy yet again :P Michigan weather is crazy! We also had our very last Wind Symphony "class" for the year. We got a cd of all our performances this year and those of us that went on tour also got the dvd loaded with about 3,000 pictures.
Thursday's news was the Tornado (see earlier post for more details)
And that brings us to today. I was woken up around 11:20 or so this morning by my phone ringing. I then proceeded down to Monica's room to help her with this whole calendar thing that her, myself, and Bryan have been trying to set up so we can see each other's schedules and know when not to schedule and see what's going on for SPLASH and other meetings and stuff like that. After that I came back up and showered, got dressed, and headed to the cafe. I didn't plan on staying in the cafe; I was going to come back to my room and begin reading my God and Human Life chapters before having to take my online quiz by 7:00 tonight. When I walked in I saw Bryan... and he saw me. I said hi and he was like look the gang's almost all here (Monica was there too) he came over and asked if I was going to eat with them and I decided I would. So we ate and chatted for a bit and then the computer/calendar topic was brought up and the issues we were having setting it up. To make a LONG story short, I got back to my room about 2 1/2 hours later! I went to put my laundry in and found all the washers to be full. I came back to my room and was FINALLY about to read my God and Human Life stuff when I heard the fire alarm go off in another section of the building (my window was open and I can hear a lot from my room). This has happened before and since they changed the system last semester I figured this was no big deal. Then I heard the alarm go off somewhere else... and then my hallway... then my ROOM! So I fumbled getting my flip flops on (of course when you really need to get something on you can't) and I grabbed a hoodie and headed out... without my book! I spent the next half an hour in the student center waiting for the ok. Luckily, Rich was in there studying and had walked by and I stopped him to say hi and he ended up sitting with me until we could leave.
It is finally Sabbath and I am overly joyful! I attended two vesper services this evening (or at least parts of two). I really enjoyed Mosaic! The music and fellowship was great!
Tomorrow I plan on attending Joni's baptism in the afternoon and the choir and orchastra concert at 8:00. Bryan asked me to help him with the concert since they are taping it. He said that I'll get paid probably $10.00 an hour and I'll probably be needed for 6 hours or so. Most of the time my job will be sitting in the control booth with him doing nothing.
It is getting late and I told Monica I would like to attend Sabbath School in the morning so I should be heading to be pretty soon. Happy Sabbath!
