Happiness

The end of this week has been great other then classes.

Union Springs gymnastics team, Marco, and the Borne's all arrived Wednesday night. I went over as soon as they got here and hung out for about an hour or so saying hi to everybody and figuring out when I could be there on Thursday.

I hung out with them after classes and for most of the evening on Thursday. On Friday I went over right after classes and ended up going to Andrews Academy with them while they did some clinic stuff. Then had to go straight over to the Howard to set up for Fusion.

Bryan had called me when I was at the gym and said that the lights were up there and placed where they needed to go and I would just need to put them up, run cords, and tape them... said it should take 45 minutes max. How VERY WRONG he was!!! It took me around 3 HOURS!!! And the ONLY help I got was him helping to put up about 4 of the 12 lights. I was SO mad! I would have much rather been over in the gym watching the little show and whatever with Karolline, Caitlin, Andrew, and all them.

I went back to the gym for vespers and then took Karolline to the Howard for a little bit and introduced her to Ben (who was working campus safety that night), Jennifer, and Paul. Monica also saw us and came over for a minute. Then Jennifer came back to the gym with us because she was hoping to find some friends. We tried to get Paul to go over with us but he said he should stay. I told him there were still a few people that he should meet and he asked if they were at the gym and when I said yes he had a hard time deciding but ended up staying. He came over for a while after Fusion and then walked me back to the dorm.

Sabbath I went to church with Acrofest and then took Karolline to the cafe for lunch with me. We then came back to my room and she crashed for about an hour on my bed before we headed back to the gym for the rest of the afternoon. I left when they started going to supper and went back to stand in line for an hour or so before they opened the doors for the show. I sat with Vanessa and Paul made it for the last 1/3 of the show so he made it for USA which is all that really mattered. Andrew had gotten both of us a ticket so I had to run it down to him when he got there and he came up to sit with me.

After the show about 800 people were ready to leave and all the participants were moving around. So Paul and I decided to wait a while before going anywhere. We sat and chatted for about a half hour or so before going to find the team. He left shortly after and I stayed until Caitlin was ready to shower around midnight so we came back then went back to the gym and I was there until almost 1:30 when I said all my goodbyes. I wish they could have stayed longer!!! It was SO good to have them here and other people to hang out with!

And now it's back to the same ol' same ol' stuff of classes and work :P no fun but thanksgiving break is soon so I guess I shouldn't complain too much.
