Tonight was the first Fusion of Spring Semester 2008! It was a good service focused on peace/peacemaking. The speaker is a professor here at the university but his name escapes me at the moment.
I had been to the Howard for a few hours setting up then we (Tim, Jennifer, Bryan, Justin, and myself) went for supper at Subway (while we were there Tim teased me non-stop... it was nuts!) After supper Jennifer dropped me off at the dorm so I could shower and change. I arrived back at the Howard a little after 7 and ran lights for the first part of the program. By the time I was done with lights, there weren't any seats available. I ended up standing with Paul for the remainder of the program and said hello to some friends while they were walking out. I proceeded to tear down the lights and take all that stuff downstairs and help carry a few things to the cars. I returned to the dorm at 11:45 with some VERY sore feet! I'm not used to standing for 5 hours (give or take).
But the program went well and I guess that's all that matters, right?
I'm happy for the Sabbath! Even though we've just finished the first week of school, and a short week at that, I'm glad not to have to worry about homework until Sunday. And I'll get to sleep in a little and go to church and tomorrow night I'm planning on going to see an opera-ish production at the Howard. I don't know much about it other then it has something to do with with the Three Wisemen and there are some people I know in it. So, it should be pretty fun... even if I do have to go by myself.
