The Excursion: Bridesmaid Dress Shopping

Yesterday Adrienne, Sonya, Danae, and I all went shopping for bridesmaid dresses for Monica's wedding (which is June 8). Adrienne had called a few days ago and setup and appointment for us to go in at 2:00. We arrived a half hour early and checked in and the lady told us to go ahead and start browsing. So we did just that. Monica had mentioned a few dresses that she liked but didn't really care what we got or if they were all different so long as they were Canary. So we all picked out between 3 and 5 dresses and went to try them on. Then we all went back to get some more to try on. We all finally found one that we wanted to get. The dress I wanted didn't come in canary so I went back to search some more. I decided on one and we all went to the register and began checking out. There was something wrong that Sonya couldn't get the one she wanted so she went to look some more and the rest of us checked out and went to find Sonya.

After finding Sonya and helping her look the lady came to get me and Adrienne. She told us both for different reasons we wouldn't be able to get our dresses. So it was back to the drawing board for the two of us as well. Every dress we liked the looks of we would have them check to make sure it came in canary and that they would get it in on time (many of them wouldn't be in until June 6th at the latest and we're supposed to be down there by that date!). So while Danae was set, the rest of us tried on loads of other dresses. Sonya was thinking about getting the same one as Danae so Adrienne figured her and I should get the same dress too. But Sonya didn't really want that dress and the dress Adrienne and I were thinking about I didn't really like so... We ended up calling Monica and asking if we could have two of us in Canary and two of us in Clover because that would be the best way to get the dresses in time and the ones that we liked. She said yes after a couple minutes and Danae and Adrienne will be wearing canary colored dresses and Sonya and I will be wearing Clover colored dresses. I'm the only one that got to take mine with me. Danae and Sonya's should be here by the middle of May and they told Adrienne after we all checked out the second time that her's would be here at the latest the 6th of June... by that time we were all so fed up with trying on dresses she said to just go for it and we'll pray it comes in even 2 days earlier and we'll figure out how to get it to the wedding (she doesn't need it altered at all).

We left the store around 5:30 I think and we were all starving so we headed to a Mexican restaurant and Danae totally was getting hit on the whole time. But it was really good food and we had really good service too. We also made a stop at Barnes and Noble so I could get an Elle magazine for class and then we went to the mall for a little bit.

On our way back we dropped Adrienne off at her boyfriend, Dave's, house and they dropped me off at the Howard because there was Fusion last night. So I got back to my room a little after 11:30 and ended up sleeping until the sermon started at PMC today so I turned on the radio and listened to the service on there. (Good thing because the sermon was about skipping church!!!)

Anyways, Gymnics is having their homeshow tonight and I'm hoping to go since I won't be able to make it to the one tomorrow. Tomorrow I'm planning on going to the Orchestra concert at 4:00 then shoot for a while, then hopefully we will be done with enough time for me to catch at least part of Verleyne's recital that starts at 7:00... we'll see how things go!
