Four Tickets

The weeks before break were filled with preparations for the "dramatic musical 'Four Tickets to Christmas'". I helped to set up backdrops (which promptly fell when we went to lunch), painted some other props, made programs, and took lots of pictures.

The play is set in December of 1905 and it's about a family of musicians who ended up going to the grandparents' house for Christmas because their show in another city got canceled. The family gets involved with a musical performance at the local church, has a few mishaps, and over comes challenges to become a closer family. That's the short version and you can learn a lot more by typing it into google.

The students did a good job with only a couple of obvious line mistakes. I heard someone say on their way out that it was the best performance that the academy has done in YEARS!!! Go drama class and choir!!!
