It's SO cold! It's a blustery 3 degrees in Union Springs right now but with the wind chill and all that not-so-nice stuff it feels like -15!!! Weather.com has a severe weather alert up on their website! Maybe if we ever hit 25 degrees again we'll all start pulling out the flip flops, shorts, and tank tops! Of course at Andrews it feels like -21 and it's -16 right now in Vermont.
I woke up this morning and didn't want to get out of bed because my room was so cold. My windows have some issues with letting wind whip through and I haven't thought of a good and easy solution. Then I came into the office and it's freezing in here! I've been sitting with my scarf and jacket on and it doesn't feel like its done much good.
Who says student missionaries/task force workers in the states don't have to worry about living conditions, bugs, or whatever else? I've had to deal with bugs investing the house, rodents, and now some serious weather!
Anyways, that was my cold weather rant. On to bigger and better things... I'M OFF THIS WEEKEND!!!!!!!!! :D Since it's my only weekend off between last homeleave and next homeleave, I'm staying home and not doing a whole lot of anything if I can help it! I'm thinking that I'll watch 3ABN for church whenever I wake up and eat some food and sleep some more... Who am I kidding? That's not going to happen. I am planning on sleeping in though and watching church online and eating. But then I'm thinking I should probably go up to the gym and take some shots at ADRA Famine. But then I'm going back home and doing nothing :)
Yesterday was the easiest teaching day ever! I had a quiz made up from before Christmas to give to them and then we watched part of a video on the photographers of Nation Geographic. I told them I'd give them extra credit if they took notes during the movie. Several of them needed it and it helped everyone that actually did it! I was also nice enough to take two of the questions that everyone but one person got wrong. (I gave whoever got them right extra credit points for that too... didn't think it was fair that they knew it and I didn't give them something for it). I'm still a bit disappointed that I have three of them going on the IP list this week. That's the consiquences of either cheating or not doing anything.
I'm going to take pictures of the icecicles and snow when I get home from shopping with Karolline... I'll post some tonight hopefully
