This morning started several others when on the farm. I tried getting up earlier so I could make it to at least part of faculty meeting but it didn't happen. I got up a little before 7 and got bottles made and headed for the barn after taking Sam out.
When I walked outside I realized that the school van that I've been driving, had a VERY flat rear driver's side tire! I ended up driving Andrew's truck to work and talked to Mr. Fraker. I guess I've got to go into work tomorrow and then bring Joel back with me to fix it. I think it's done more now then it was this morning too! I have no idea how it happened!!!
I ended up switching tomorrow for today in the cafe. They were going to turn the water off tomorrow afternoon and I didn't want to deal with it and Rozita wanted to go to Syracuse this afternoon so it was perfect. Except once we switched I found out the water was going to be off on Thursday instead. But all's good because I've got a SA meeting again tomorrow evening.
Anyways, I worked cafe today and found out about an hour before supper that it was going to be earlier... Christ in Focus worship was going to be at 4, supper at 5, and then the girls were going to the mall. Well, at 4:30 people started coming down! I had things almost done so finished up quick and started serving. I figured this would be great because I'd be able to get out of there quicker so I could get home and pasturize milk and to chores in time. But oh how wrong I was!
We finished up supper and I only had 2 workers (and of course they are the slowest workers!). They got started in the dish room and the dinning room while I started cleaning up the deck area and the kitchen space. After a while I heard water gushing and it didn't sound like the dish room. I walked into the kitchen area and saw inches or water all over the floor near the office door and in the surrounding area. One of the boys had started filling a mop bucket then promptly walked away and forgot about it! I turned the water off right away and started pushing it across the kitchen to the nearest working drain. It took a good half hour to clean up. The boys still weren't done by the time I was but finished soon after. They left and I ran to the truck and drove home in about 20 minutes. I then had to pasturize milk from this morning and started chores 20-25 minutes late. I got all the chores done in about an hour and everything cleaned up and taken care of in about a half hour :D
So tomorrow and Thursday should be easy days and I'm hoping to get a little more sleep and get a bunch of Newsletters out.
