The beginning of the week I was at work and it was really slow. I had caught up on most stuff so went out to wash tables. There was only one guy there and he started asking me if I liked the music and when I said about hearing some of the songs before from my mom or dad listening to it he was like yeah, your parents must be about my age cause this is my music. He told me how old he was and I said Mom and Dad were somewhere around there and he started saying something about there era or something and said he had a 3 year-old little girl and asked how old I was. I told him and he said he thought I was like 17.
I was sitting in drawing class the other day working on a value scale and the girl next to me started chatting with me. We had partnered up for one of the exercises a couple days before and had talked a little but not much. She started asking me what my major was, where I'm from, and all those other get-to-know-someone-in-college questions. Turns out she lives in Weedsport and she knows one of the guys that comes into work a lot. She's also older then I thought she was, has been married, and she has two cute little boys. She also thought that I was younger then I look. She said she would've guessed I was right out of high school.
Though I'm not sure if I should take it as a compliment or not because of some of the people in my painting class. The things some of them were saying I just kept thinking about how immature they are. But I keep forgetting that I'm at least two to four years older then a lot of the other students in my class(es) and non-traditional student there.
