Catching Up

Well, it looks like I've got a lot of catching up to do since I haven't really posted this month! Where to begin?!

We have two new baby goats. They are 3 weeks old now I think. They are both black and white. One is a Cou Blanc (white front and black back) and the other is a Sundgau (mostly black with a few white markings). They're adorable and LOVE to be out and run around. They also love to play with Ike and Ike seems to like babysitting them. Lots of times when we go in Ike will be sitting on top of the hay "playpen" we have them in just watching. He plays with them sometimes too. Although he has been known to put his claws out while "playing". They love to jump on stuff. One of them has been jumping up onto the medal trashcan we're keeping grain in. And last night she kept jumping up into the wheelbarrow which was full of horse poop and nasty hay! They were having fun following me around while I was cleaning and setting up stalls. They get pretty noisy if you don't let them out to run around while doing chores.

As far as school goes, I'm doing pretty good. I've got a B or something like that in my painting class, I think I have an A in drawing (she's been hanging on to my stuff so she can put them in the display case in the hallway), I got a B on my first English paper of the semester (I thought I did a lot worse then that), Nutrition is pretty good (we have a big presentation tomorrow), and I passed CPR with an A.

Brent and Heather's baby was born a week and a half or so ago. I got to go to Vermont for a long weekend this weekend to see him and everybody else. Izzie is getting SO big and talking so much! I walked in the door and she screamed "VIC-N!!!" Then she kept wanting me to go see her new room and to play with her. She's so funny. Lilly's getting super big too! She was being a little stinker and wouldn't see anybody but Mom when we went shopping with Gen on Sunday.
On the way back from VT my car broke down. I made it to Rutland and then something didn't feel right coming down the hill and I managed to coast into a parking lot and called Dad and texted Andrew. Well over an hour later Mom had upgrade AAA to AAA+ and came to pick me up. Dad called the tow truck and they picked up the car after Mom picked me up. Andrew was nice enough to reschedule his meeting so he could drive out part way so Mom didn't have to come all the way out here. They thought it was the timing belt in the car but it ended up being a wire that was shorting out and stuff! So I've been carpooling with Andrew and Kim and driving the Jetta... the Jetta is not my favorite thing in the world to drive. I tend to squeal the tires like its going out of style and stall a bit still. Today was a bit better then yesterday as far as stalling goes though. I made somebody behind me REALLY mad yesterday because I stalled it and couldn't get it going at a 4-way stop.

I'll be out of a job a week from today. Burritt's is closing next Wednesday. So this morning I was on the hunt yet again for a job. Boy do I HATE job hunting! I think it's probably my least favorite thing to do! I'd even taking mucking horse stalls and dealing with Carina and Alice (the mean goats) over looking for a job! I filled out one application and picked up 3 or 4 other ones and have a couple to fill out online.

I think that's about all that's been going on here. I hope to post some pictures later to night or sometime between now and the weekend
