I've only been out of school a couple weeks and all the busy stuff that comes with summer is beginning.
Last weekend my parents and sister came out to drop off the camper so its here for Campmeeting. Ivy had triplets on Sabbath afternoon. They are all girls and are down right adorable! Two of them have a light brown, white, and black and the other one is black and white. All of them were right around 5 pounds. After babies were born we went for a motorcycle ride. We made a few stops on the ride; my favorite stop was at a park and we walked out and saw the water and some really cool cliffs. Sunday everybody left and I went to work. :P
Monday all three of us were off so we did some stuff around the house and farm. I can't really remember exactly what all we did other then take the pool cover off and trim down some of the bushes around the pool. Tuesday was back to work for all of us and my computer got a virus... I wasn't amused! Becky said Richard could probably look at it for me which he did and fixed it. I'm so grateful for cousins who know what their doing and are willing to help me out!
Wednesday found me working at 5:00 but I watched Hannah and Sarah most of the day. As soon as they got here they had to go out to the barn and see the goats. And as soon as they got to the barn and saw the babies they started asking me to feed them and I had to keep telling them that they didn't need to be fed for another 3 hours. We played with the babies for a while, watched a movie, played with babies, played some wii, played with babies, fed babies, had lunch, did I mention we played with the babies? The girls had SO much energy by the time Richard came to get them! OH MY GOODNESS!!! We both told them to run around the house a few times but it didn't work. He said they both fell asleep in the car on the way back.
Yesterday I clipped my first goat! I was so excited (probably shouldn't have just said that... Andrew and Kim will be have me clip all the time!)! Its a lot easier then I expected it to be. We were up until midnight working on getting goats ready for the show. I showered quick before going to take Sam out and finish getting ready for bed. It was pretty late by the time I actually got to bed and I was so tired I couldn't sleep! I hate it when you're super tired but can't manage to find those "Z's" you're seeking!!! When I finally got to sleep I kept waking up and then I was up around 5:30 this morning.
I was out of work at noon today and came home after picking up some groceries. I had some lunch, checked some stuff online, and headed to the barn for some more goat clipping. I got Sweet Pea done as well as I could and then came in and skyped with Adrianna (FINALLY!) until my computer shut off. Then I went out and clipped Jane then came in and chatted some more until the computer crapped out again. Then I went and started clipping Peony. I had here about half way done by the time Kim got home. Then she held one of them while I tried to shave her legs and neck a bit.
This weekend will be filled with our first goat show of the season and work. I'll let you know how the show goes and hopefully have some pictures to post!
