The rest of this week has been kind of crazy! I got in to work on Thursday and Earling asked me to do some things with the file I had created and worked on for at least three or four days. When I went to my desk and started looking for the file on the computer, I couldn't find it ANYWHERE! I checked the drive it was supposed to be on, I checked a couple of the other drives, I opened the program and clicked on the recently opened files... when I found it on there and clicked on it it said that the file couldn't be found! A flood of panic swept over me and I went to tell Earling the bad news. He looked for it a bit and then I went back up and looked some more... both of our searches came up empty. I told Tiffany about it and she said she'd check later to see if she could come up with something we had missed earlier but she couldn't find it either. So now I've got the lovely task of redoing it into another file as an update. I'm hoping once that's done I can just copy and paste it then make a few tweaks in order to make the list like I did before.
Thursday night Marissa texted me and asked if I could take her to run errands Friday after work since her car is still not running. I agreed and picked her up after running a couple of my own errands in town. We went to a couple banks, bought some girl scout cookies, ate lunch at Olive Garden, and then did some more errands and grocery shopping before heading back to her place. She showed me her portfolio since I hadn't seen it yet and then a bunch of other prints. We got talking about school stuff and printing and all kinds of photo stuff and I ended up leaving there a lot later then I expected!
I skipped going to vespers Friday night because Sabbath I was having Ashley and Katrina over for lunch and I wanted to get things started for that and I had a skype meeting with Andrew and Kim that I didn't want to miss! My mom called shortly after I got home and put everything away. I got all my veggies cooked up for the eggrolls while I was talking to her. I had enough time to get the eggrolls put together before running downstairs to get online. I had a nice chat with them although it made me wish I could've been there instead of here after we hung up. But it was nice to see their faces and visit for a little bit.
Sabbath I skipped church too (I know I'm such a heathen... at least this week). I got some pie dough mixed up and chilling before jumping in the shower. After I got dressed I got busy making the rest of the meal. I was just finishing up when Ashley and Katrina arrived and helped with the last little bit.
Our Menu was:
Sweet & Sour Tofu (Sauce made by scratch)
Brown Rice
Broccoli
Eggrolls (also made from scratch)
and for dessert we had Blueberry Hand Pies
Everyone said it was really good so I guess it was a hit :) Katrina said I could cook for her any day. They both ended up taking some leftovers home to have for supper.
I had told Jeong Min I'd go to the Sinfonietta concert at 8 and I ended up picking her up early since she had to be there at 7:30 for curtain call and couldn't find a ride. The concert was better then I had expected and I got to see some familiar faces.
Now today is just back to homework and all the boring stuff. I worked on my web design homework for close to two hours (I already had some of it done) and still couldn't figure out one part of it. I looked several places online and through all the resources they had posted in our class thing online and nothing was helpful. My page even went through the validation check fine so I really have no idea what was wrong. I'm hoping we can figure it out tomorrow in class. I think part of the problem was we didn't get to cover that in class because of the snow-day last week.
I'm hoping to watch at least part of the Super Bowl today (pretty much just for the commercials). I think I can probably afford to waste a little time since I don't have class until 5 tomorrow thanks to a conference Mrs. Zork has to be at which resulted in her canceling class :)
