Mrs. Zork's Class

I'm taking a religion class from Mrs. Zork this semester and she's absolutely amazing! She's always telling us little stories about her life to demonstrate a point and making jokes that we don't always laugh at (she usually tells us it was a joke and we can/should laugh). I'm really enjoying the class so far and I'd like to share some of the funny things she's said in class and I've written down in my notes...

While telling us about her husband just having surgery and being on codeine she said something along the lines of: Have any of you ever been on codeine? I have and I'll tell you I saw "vision far beyond the vision of John the Revelator's"

While trying to explain something that wasn't good she asked what was slang for "not good"
Student: poppin'
Mrs. Zork: popping?
Student(s): no poppIN
Mrs. Zork: Oh! Poppin, like pop-in
Student(s): yeah *giggles*
Mrs. Zork: poppin's probably something really bad
and all you guys are saying I can't believe we got her sayin' that
but I'm not going to worry about it.

While telling us a story about when she was a young teenager she threw a fit out on her front lawn because her mom and dad were going somewhere that she wanted to go and not taking her. She said she threw a huge temper-tantrum and her mom gave in and let her go. Mrs. Zork said it "may not be good parenting but I loved her for it"

These are just a few things that she's said that has made us smile or laugh during her class. I think most of us are enjoying and learning quite a bit from her class :)
