Week Six

This week was a little mixed up...

Monday I didn't have class until 5:00pm which was pretty nice. Religion class was canceled because she was gone to a conference. Other then that things were went about the same as always until Wednesday.

I had emailed my Web Design instructor saying that I had made a huge mistake and had hit a button at the top of my web browser that took me to a website in the middle of my quiz. When I got back to the quiz the answers to the questions I had done were saved but I didn't realize that the questions were jumbled! I scrolled down to where I thought I had left off and answered the rest of the questions. After I submitted it I realized that I had done horribly on the quiz... when I reviewed it and saw the answers (for the questions I HAD answered) I realized that I had missed something like 5 questions that were jumbled toward the top and I had skipped right over them when I got back in.
Thankfully, after class on Wednesday he told me he had gotten my email (I had sent it Sunday) but he wasn't sure I'd be able to take it because it shows the answers after submitting it. I told him that it only showed the answers for the questions I had answered not the others. So, he agreed to reopen the quiz and let me answer the questions I'd skipped and submit it for a better grade. Yay for nice professors who understand that people make mistakes!

Thursday I experienced the opposite. I went to University Forum in the HPAC and sat in the balcony... 3rd row back. Toward the beginning one or the girls had us all stand for something. As I stood my pedometer flew off my pants and skidded down and over. I couldn't see it from where I was sitting and figured I'd just have to find it afterward... At this point I'd warn that stupid thing for 3 and a half weeks and only had the rest of Thursday and Friday that I needed to wear it for class. After forum was over and most everyone had left I began my search. I looked down the rest of the levels down and never found it! I emailed my professor telling her what had happened and she told me that she didn't have anymore and I'd pretty much have to figure it out on my own. Well that SUCKED!

Friday I did a little shopping after work and came home to some sad news... Max (the orange cat that pooped on my bed) had taken a turn for the worst over night and they had to put him down that afternoon. Not fun stuff :(

That evening I went to Fusion and was almost instantly handed a camera and asked to take pictures. The lens was NOT ideal for low light situations and didn't have much of a zoom. I sat as close as I could but I'm afraid most of the pictures are probably dark or have some major camera shake.

Sabbath morning I got up and got ready for church but kinda started regretting it once I got to campus and saw that the parking lots were all pretty much full and there were still massive amounts of cars looking for spots! After about 10 minutes circling around with the rest of the "sharks" I darted and decided just to head home or drive around for a little bit. I took a left instead of a right to head home and ended up passing the Fil-Am SDA church. I had NO idea it was there and decided I'd check it out. It's a decent size church with a sanctuary that was significantly smaller then I had imagined. But at least I made it to church and made it early enough to catch almost all of the service.

Last night I went to the Wind Symphony concert with Jeong Min. I enjoyed it and kinda missed performing. The Southwestern Michigan College Brass Band (or something like that) played 4 pieces first then the AU Jazz Band then the Wind Symphony. I couldn't believe how few people I know/played with are still in it! There were probably only 2 or 3 I remember! It was a good performance though and a good way to spend the evening... and for a bonus I got in FREE to this one too!!! I'm 2 for 3 now :)

After I got home I didn't feel like going to bed so I ended up watching a movie that was almost 3 hours long! So I think it ended around 1 and I still didn't really feel like sleeping so I read until I started dozing off. I turned my light out around 2am and then didn't get out of bed this morning until 11. Boy do I love weekends... and boy do they mess me up for the next few days. At least I have Monday mornings to transition a little back into the school week :)
