It's amazing what a little mascara, eye liner, a straightener, and a new shirt will do

Last night we were going to go to the movies but... there was also an orchastra concert (playing music from the movies) and I wanted to go to that as well as Rich. Here's what happened... I went to the concert by myself and met up with Rich afterwards while Monica and Bryan went to see Ghost Rider. We all met at IHOP (our usual) and grabbed some food and chilled for a while before heading off to WalMart and then back the the dorms. We were back by about 12 or so I think.

Here's where all the "beautifing" comes in. My straightener completely died a little over a week ago :( so my hair has been well... not in the greatest shape to say the LEAST. So on Friday when I spent abotut 5 or 6 hours shopping with Cara I bought a new one and a new shirt and a few other things I needed (I didn't need the shirt but I got it anyway.. it's a really cute black button-up that is shortsleeved but the sleeves have one roll and a little thingy that comes up over it and buttons... it's black). Oh and I bought some tweezers because since my roommate and her friends cleaned up in here mine have been missing. Friday night I did my eyebrows and Sabbath I decided to put on some eyeliner and mascara and I straightened my hair for the first time in nearly 2 weeks.

After the concert when Rich and I were heading to the car he asked me if I got my hair cut; to which I replied no that I had just straightened it. He told me it looked good. Then when we got to IHOP we were sitting there chatting and all of a sudden Bryan looked and me and was like "you're wearing eyeliner aren't you?" I said yeah and covered my eyes because I didn't think it looked good. He said "no it looks good... with your shirt (my new black one) it makes it stand out and makes your eyes really pop". Then when I was walking back into the dorm Jose was walking out and we said hi then he also asked me if I got my hair cut. I told him the same thing I told Rich and he was like "oh. well it looks good I like it."

Way to make a girl feel good :) I was feeling pretty good walking over to the concert by myself but I definatly wasn't expecting ANY compliements/comments.

Well there is some other stuff I could write but I think I'm going to close for tonight. I hope you all have a great President's Day and a wonderful week!
