Hump Day of the 1st Week

I've made it to Wednesday of the first week of school. And its been a miserable few days. Sunday for registration I was in charge of selling books. Thank goodness Brent and Heather came and Brent helped me out getting books while I did the paperwork when floods of people were waiting. I'd either have a steady stream, tons of people all at once, or nobody then a ton of people all day.

Monday I spent the majority of the day in the cafeteria. There was a faculty meeting in the afternoon but I couldn't attend because I had to supervise the kids at the center of campus. Then it was back down to the cafe to load food for the picnic at the lake. I drove the van to the lake and helped unload, ate, reloaded, drove back up, unloaded and then headed to the Big M for some major allergy medicine. I've been having some allergies since I moved to campus but while I was supervising on Monday my eye got SUPER itchy and I kept rubbing it causing it to swell and become bloodshot. Not a pretty picture. I decided after a day like that the allergy meds should be accompanied with some Ben & Jerry's. After taking meds and ice cream I promptly fell asleep around 8.

Tuesday I woke up at 6:30 thinking worship was at 7:30. When I arrived at the Ad Building I was surprised to see nobody around! I finally found someone who told me that breakfast wasn't until 8:15!!! So I went down there and got some food and helped a little before worship. I didn't realize that there was another faculty meeting and I missed the second one in a row. I spent a good part of the day down there again yesterday and did supper with the help of some of the student workers. After cleaning up and locking everything I headed home, made myself some supper (and burnt it go figure), watched a little tv, and fell asleep around 9:30 or so!

Today, I've decided not to spend my whole day in the cafe since I'll be down there at least part of the evening. I'm looking forward to the weekend. I'm not on duty at all and there's a possibility that I'll get to get away for the weekend. :)
