Thanksgiving

I took off for Vermont after classes, coming home to pack, getting something to eat, and stopping at work for a drink and snack to take with me. I had to pick Mom up at Grammie's and got there around 6 or 7 and visited a little while they finished their game. Then we went home and got some supper and then I went up to the farm to hang out with everybody and do some laundry. Mom had told me I could bring home laundry just not all of it (which I did anyway). She informed me when I got home that the washer was broke.

For Thanksgiving dinner we kinda did it potluck style... everybody bring something from the list. Everything was really yummy. We ate and hung out for a while. Some of us played some games and played with the little girls. I taught Hannah and Sarah how to do somersaults (or at least they said they didn't know how to do them). Hannah got laughing really hard and thought it was the coolest thing that she could do it sideways. I took Izzie outside to pet Kenny's dogs at one point and she was letting them lick her and whap her in the face with their tails. She ended up sitting on the concrete step and I asked her if it was cold; she sat there and said "oh my gosh!" I don't know if she was saying it because the step was cold or just to say it but it was kinda amusing.

Friday, Mom and I went to King Arthur (in the afternoon) so I could pick up a couple things and get a Christmas present for somebody. I headed out to the car a couple minutes before Mom was ready. I guess maybe I should've waited... It had been raining and the porch was slippery. I went to step down from the top and my heel slid and I fell to the bottom. It hurt so bad I couldn't move right away. I just kinda sat there for a second and then Mom opened the door and asked if I just fell :P I've got a bit of bruise and swollen area on my left arm with a couple scratches and a little tiny scratch on my right wrist and a HUGE very sore bruise on my butt. It was a splendid way to end the day :(

I drove back today. I left about quarter after ten and got home about quarter of 4 to an empty house. So, I brought everything in and unpacked a couple things and then relaxed for about an hour before heading off to work at 6. I was happy to not have Darb* there tonight! It'd been a long enough day without having to talk to him for an hour or better! I'm also glad I don't have to work until 2 tomorrow so hopefully I can get at least a little Photoshop homework finished and maybe some of my book read :)
