I can't say anything too exciting happened the past two weeks. I have been going to at least one thing every weekend and that I think has helped me not to be nearly as homesick as I would be just sitting around.
Not this past weekend but the weekend before I joined Danae and Hannah and went to AU's Got Talent. I'd never been before and most of it was pretty good. There was a violin soloist who was really, really good, a classical guitarist, another guitarist, a gymnastics duet, and some other musical acts. It was pretty fun.

This past weekend was pretty busy! I met up with Ashley and Katrina for AUSA vespers Friday night since it was the end of Week of Spiritual Emphasis. There were student speakers everyday through out the week talking about the Sermon on the Mount and the Beatitudes. After vespers Ashley invited me over to her apartment to have hot drinks and just relax a bit. It was so relaxing and nice to just be able to sit and chat without having to worry about getting home to do homework or anything like that. I ended up leaving around 10:30 and headed to Danae and Hannah's apartment since they invited me over a while before I left Ashley's. We hung out there with James Times Two, Connor, Jason, and Justin I think was there too. They were playing piano, violin, and guitar and we all just kinda chatted and ate cookies. It was SUCH a late night and I didn't get home til nearly 2am!!! I had no intention on being out that late especially since I was meeting Ashley at church the next morning!
I did make it to church and even beat Ashley there! After church I went back to Hannah and Danae's for lunch with them and some of the guys from the night before. After lunch they decided to go to the lake but I bailed to come back and sleep for a bit. I ended up sleeping for about an hour and half and it felt SO good! When I woke up I got dressed and freshed up a bit before going back to their place and then going to the Barlow Girl concert at the HPAC. It was a good concert and the place was soldout! They had quite a bit of talking but it was good/inspirational/funny talking and added to the experience. After the concert we went back to the apartment and hung out for a bit and then Danae started to teach us how to swing dance. It was quite the evening but really fun. I got home after midnight that night too!

Sunday morning I got up earlier then I do for any of my classes and was back on campus a couple minutes before 8 to load the cars and head over to set up the HPAC for the Health Careers Job Fair work puts on. I was there for five hours helping Darla and Tiffany. Bethany came a little later and Jayme came even later. We had an interesting time getting a few fly away balloons off the ceiling (that's what the pictures are). We ended up tying balloons together to form train high enough that the duct tape on the top one would grab the others so we could pull it down. Before that we tried throwing salt bags covered in duct tape but that didn't work so well and Jayme had to climb part of the windows to get one of them down that had gotten stuck on the ledge.
Now today I've barely moved from my bed all day because we had a snowday :D I got some homework done that was due today and then some other reading done. I have some more I could do but don't really feel like it at the moment... as I was told this week I'm "a true art major; why do something now if you don't have to."

I've got one class tomorrow and work then I'm done for the week... well besides work on Friday. After work Friday I'll need to go shopping because Ashley and maybe Katrina are coming for lunch on Sabbath. We're going to have Crispy sweet & sour tofu with brown rice and broccoli and for dessert hand-held blueberry pies (all vegan!). I'm hoping it all turns out as yummy as it looks!
